Fun style, fit a big large

My son is in 4th grade and these shorts are the hottest thing at his school right now. :) He's a skinny 9 year old and the youth medium are pretty big on him, but since they're on the expensive side, I'm ok with sizing up.

Misleading size chart-runs EXTREMELY LARGE

XL was way too long and too big for a 5'1, 115 lb, 13 year old. Size chart is extremely misleading. Youth XL nearly fit my size 36 waisted husband. Poor customer service. Will never buy again.
